Crosswalk buttons

Crosswalk buttons are horrid devices. As a pedestrian, I resent that I must push a button to request permission to cross the street — just because I am not in a motorized vehicle at this intersection. Let’s talk about evils of vehicle-centric urban design.

  1. @jamesshelley not sure where you live. I live in the suburbs. Without a car it would take me almost 4 hours to commute to work in Manhattan. 30 minutes to walk to the grocery. I guess I could live in a big city but I’d probably want to die.
