If you can’t possibly imagine

If you can’t possibly imagine a scenario where your mindset changes, evolves, or adapts, then you possess a ‘mindset’ in the sense of dried concrete — ‘mindstuck.’ Or: ‘this mind hereby refuses to actually think any further.’ A solidified mind is basically ‘set’ like a brick.

  1. @jamesshelley I’m tempted to describe this as “mental Brutalism” even though I know Brutalism’s name wasn’t derived from what it sounds like in English. (At the same time, having worked in a Brutalist building, I think the connotation in English is apt.)

  2. In italian there is a saying, “un mura di certezza” a wall of certainty or belief.
also,”E’ come parlare al muro.” It’s like talking to a brick wall.
