If I could go back in time

If I could go back in time, I’d tell my former self to begin compiling a bibliography of citations much earlier than I did. If it is worth reading, it must be worth notating, cataloguing, and archiving in a trustworthy system for future reference.

  1. @Fritz I’ve got all my reading notes from 2008 onwards in text files. It’s stupidly simple, but it works, and allows easy import into data proprietary software systems when needed. I’m sure there’s better solutions, though.

  2. @Fritz That is an interesting idea with OCR. I have manually typed all my quotes from books. And I will continue doing so. It seems extremely inefficient at first, but the depth of engagement with the text makes it much more valuable for actual application.
